Numerous people recently appeared in Washington County Court on criminal charges.Appearing before Judge Katherine Emery were:Sarah M. Davis, 32, of 129 North Ave., Apt. 3B, Washington; possession of drug paraphernalia; charged after police were dispatched Sept. 21, 2011, to assist a medical call at a South McDonald Street apartment in McDonald and discovered drug paraphernalia; sentence – 18 months of probation without verdict, 25 hours of community service.Jonathon Hootman, 33, of 2433 W. Pike St., Houston; DUI, second offense, and driving with a suspended license; charged following a traffic stop March 16 on Cecil-Henderson Road near Morganza Road in Cecil Township; his BAC was 0.162 percent; sentence – 1 month to 6 months in jail, 12-month driver’s license suspension, 12-month ignition interlock, $1,750 fine. Lauren M. Kelly, 21, of 303 Queensdale Drive, York; simple assault; charged for assaulting a nurse May 7 at Monongahela Valley Hospital while being treated for being highly intoxicated; sentence – Intermediate Punishment Program for 12 months with the first 3 months on electronic home monitoring, 50 hours of community service.John N. Hardesty, 26, of 612 St. Nicholas Drive, Donora; DUI, second offense, and driving with a suspended license; charged following a traffic stop Aug. 27, 2011, at Sixth Street and Thompson Avenue in Donora; his BAC was 0.171 percent; sentence – 90 days to 15 months on electronic home monitoring, 18-month driver’s license suspension and ignition interlock, $2,500 fine.Several people were recently admitted into the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program for first-time offenders. If they successfully complete the program, they can petition the court to expunge their records. Admitted by Judge Janet Moschetta Bell were:Lee A. Stech, 42, of 61 Dawson Drive, Charleroi, admitted for 12 months and received a 60-day license suspension for a first-offense DUI. His BAC was 0.176 percent. Stech was charged following a traffic stop March 11, 2011, at Wilson Road and Dawson Road in Charleroi.Gary R. Loughman, 58, of 321 Beacon Ave., Washington, admitted for 12 months and received a 60-day license suspension for a first-offense DUI. His BAC was 0.214 percent. Loughman was charged following a traffic stop Feb. 24 at the entrance to Town & Country Trailer Park in Canton Township.Charles D. Tustin, 27, of 111 First St., Canonsburg, admitted for 12 months and received a 30-day license suspension for a first-offense DUI. His BAC was 0.159 percent. Tustin was charged following a two-vehicle crash Jan. 1 at West Pike Street and Western Avenue in Houston.William S. McIntyre III, 56, of 1430 Paxton Farm Road, Chartiers Township, admitted for 12 months and received a 60-day license suspension for a first-offense DUI. His BAC was 0.290 percent. McIntyre was charged after police followed him to his driveway April 8 because he was driving erratically.
