The Church of the Nazarene in Jefferson will host David and Jodi Cooper, missionaries to South Africa, for a service Friday. A fellowship meal will be served at 5:30 p.m. with the service beginning at 6:30 p.m. All are invited.Oak View United Methodist Church, 160 Rolling Meadows Road, Waynesburg, will serve lunch and more from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday. Meals include pulled pork barbecue sandwiches or creamed chicken sandwiches, along with coleslaw, homemade noodles and dessert for $7. If purchased individually, sandwiches are $4, coleslaw $1, noodles $2 and dessert $2. Eat in, takeout or delivery is available. For delivery, call the church office at 724-627-6398. Delivery orders will be taken from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday; 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursday and all day Friday. The church is requesting delivery orders be placed as early as possible.The Aleppo Brethern Church will present its final free community dinner of the season from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday. The menu will consist of creamed chicken on biscuits, mashed potatoes, corn, beverage and pumpkin roll. Takeout is available and donations are accepted.The band Decades will perform from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday at the Waynesburg Eagles. Costumes are optional and prizes will be awarded in several categories.Country music will be featured from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday at the New Freeport fire hall. Bands scheduled to appear are Cabin Fever and Ambassadors for Christ. Admission is $3 and everyone is welcome. The event is sponored by the ladies auxiliary.Special music will be presented at 9:15 a.m. Sunday by Thomas Shelton in the Pitt Gas Missionary Church, 380 Pitt Gas Road, Clarksville. The trip is open to the public and is being held as a fundraising event for the band. Cost is $100 and includes transportation only. Bus pickup will take place at 11 p.m. Nov. 16 at Waynesburg Central High School. The bus will arrive in New York City around 8 a.m. and depart New York for the return trip to Waynesburg Central High School at 10 p.m. A waiver form must be signed by all participants.
