The following are the trick-or-treat times and parade schedules for various county communities.In general, trick-or-treat is open to kids ages 12 and under. Residents who want to hand out treats should turn on their porch lights.n Carmichaels Borough – 3 to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 28n Cumberland Township – 3 to 5 p.m. Oct. 29n Franklin Township – 4 to 6 p.m. Thursdayn Gilmore Township – 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 31n Jackson Township – 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 31n Rolling Meadows Nursing Home will hold an open house for the community beginning at 6:45 p.m. Thursdayn Waynesburg Borough – 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday

n The Carmichaels Area Chamber of Commerce Halloween Parade will be held at 2 p.m. Oct. 28 at the town square. Participants will line up beginning at 1:30 p.m. at the Yoskovich Funeral Home parking lot. The parade will proceed through town to the town square led by the Carmichaels Area Junior-Senior High School marching band. Master of ceremonies will be Joe Cybak. Judging will take place on the town square and prizes will be awarded for ages 0 through 6 and ages 7 through 12 for the scariest, best witch, prettiest, most original and judges choice.n Lions Club parade in Waynesburg will begin at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
