Jailed in robbery: Brian E. Burgess, 21, of 23 McNary St., Houston, is charged by borough police with robbery, simple assault and harassment, court records show. He is accused of stealing $69 from Matt Wisnoski after knocking him to the ground and choking him while they walked together along railroad tracks Oct. 16, police stated in the affidavit. Burgess is in the Washington County jail on $10,000 bond after being arrested on a warrant and arraigned Tuesday before District Judge David Mark.

Fraud reported: A township resident reported to township police Tuesday that his bank called to inform him that $1,300 in fraudulent purchases had been made using his credit card, township police said. The man has the credit card but said he made no purchases using the card, police said. Van hits building: A witness reportedly saw a white work van strike the GetGo building, 2893 Washington Road, at 11:05 a.m. Tuesday, then drive away, township police said. The impact cracked and dented siding. The witness was able to obtain a license plate, police said.

Robbery arrest: Joshua J. Fields, 19, of 950 Addison St., Washington, is charged by city police with robbery, theft and simple assault, court records show. He is accused of stealing a cellphone from Miguel Rivera after he and an unknown man jumped and assualted Rivera about 12:01 a.m. Wednesday on East Prospect Avenue, police stated in the affidavit. Fields is in the Washington County jail on $25,000 bond set by District Judge Ethan Ward.
