The Carmichaels Women’s Civic Club will meet at 6 p.m. Nov. 1, 2012, in the Carmichaels Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. Club member Jackie Workman will be the guest speaker. She will share her knowledge and provide information about Amedysis Home Health Care. New members are welcome. Cornerstone Genealogical Society will hold its holiday dinner meeting at 6 p.m. Nov. 13, at Rohanna’s Restaurant. Tickets are being sold in advance at the log courthouse for $20 a person. Tickets will not be sold at the door. The election of officers and board members will be held. The program will be a DVD on Festival of the Lights. Trick-or-Treat will be held in Monongahela Township from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday. During those times, the township supervisors also will be handing out treats at the township building.
