Numerous people recently appeared in Washington County Court on criminal charges. Appearing before Judge Janet Moschetta Bell were: Joshua T. Wicks, 26, of 3523 Martindale Road, Marianna; possession of drug paraphernalia; charged while police were serving a bench warrant June 19 at a Welcome Street residence in Fredericktown; sentence – 12 months of probation with the first three months on intensive supervision. Ryan G. Maple, 23, of 525 Wallace Road, Wexford; possession of drug paraphernalia; charged during a traffic stop June 8 on Interstate 79 near mile marker 44 in North Strabane Township; sentence – 12 months of probation. Miesha Bell, 21, of 351 Locust Ave., Apt. 7, Washington; criminal conspiracy; charged as one of three accused of conspiring to steal a woman’s purse April 22 in the parking lot of Trinity Point Walmart; sentence – Intermediate Punishment Program for 36 months with the first 6 months on intensive supervision. Kelli Santoro Miller, 38, of 1141 Lincoln Ave., Charleroi; possession of drug paraphernalia; charged after police were called to assist Children and Youth Services in removing children from her residence June 6; sentence – 12 months of probation. Derek Fragello, 24, of Ellsworth; driving under the influence, first offense; charged after he refused a blood test after police were dispatched March 6 to Magic City Mart on Pennsylvania Avenue in Speers for a report of an intoxicated man with a child in his vehicle; sentence – 72 hours to 6 months in jail, 12-month license suspension, $1,000 fine. Stanley DeMaske, 27, of 1444 Main St., Jefferson; providing false identification to law enforcement, driving with a suspended license, careless driving; charged following a traffic stop Nov. 23 on the Interstate 79 southbound ramp in South Strabane Township; sentence – 12 months of probation, $225 fine. Krystle A. Lewis, 26, of 352 Morganza Road, Canonsburg; theft; charged for stealing money from a co-worker’s purse May 29 at Merante Brothers Market, West McMurray Road, Canonsburg; sentence – 12 months of probation, ordered to pay $124 in restitution. Deanna Lewis, 29, of 406 Washington St., Charleroi; retail theft; charged for trying to steal merchandise March 6 from Rite Aid pharmacy, Wilson Road, Bentleyville; sentence – 12 months of probation, ordered to attend retail theft classes. Matthew Ross, 31, of 84 Robert Lane, Canonsburg; DUI, third offense, and driving with a suspended license; charged following a traffic stop Nov. 4, 2011, at Franklin Farms Road and West Chestnut Street in Canton Township; his blood-alcohol content was 0.185 percent; sentence – Intermediate Punishment Program for 23 1/2 months with the first 6 months in incarceration followed by 6 months on SCRAM monitor, 18-month driver’s license suspension, 12-month ignition interlock, $3,500 fine. Kevin L. Crews, 22, of 1319 Hays St., Homestead; possession of a controlled substance, flight to avoid apprehension; charged after running from police March 15 when questioned about smelling like marijuana while in a public park in Donora Borough after closing hours; sentence – 12 months of probation. David Anthony, 46, of 1373 Gilmore Ave., Donora; providing false identification to law enforcement, possession of drug paraphernalia; charged following a traffic stop Jan. 22 in the 300 block of Modisette Avenue in Donora; sentence – 12 months of probation. Kyle S. Burnham, 26, of 2614 Old National Pike, Washington; DUI, third offense, and failure to notify police of an accident with damage; charged following a one-vehicle crash March 24 in the 1300 block of South Hewitt Avenue in Canton Township; his blood-alcohol content was 0.223 percent; sentence - 1 year to 2 years in prison, $2,500 fine. Tavon A. Daye, 22, of 625 Huston St., Braddock; possession of drug paraphernalia; charged after police were called June 2 to a Lincoln Avenue apartment in Charleroi for suspicious activity and discovered drug paraphernalia; sentence – 6 months of probation without verdict. Phillip K. Sims, 63, of 536 Duquesne Ave., Apt. 3, Canonsburg; DUI, first offense; charged following a one-vehicle accident Feb. 2 in the 500 block of Adams Avenue in Canonsburg; his BAC was 0.211 percent; sentence – 3 days to 6 months in jail, 12-month driver’s license suspension, $1,000 fine. Brandon K. Phillips, 20, of 431 Cleveland Road, Washington; aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of children; charged after police were notified Feb. 28, 2011, by Children and Youth Services about a child at Washington Hospital who had been injured by Phillips; sentence – 2 to 4 years in state prison followed by 3 years of probation, ordered to be released on parole at the minimum to an appropriate residential treatment facility or halfway house if the sentence is served without incident. Bobby J. Lirette, 37, of 905 Peach St., Houma, Louisiana; DUI, second offense, and firearms not to be carried; charged following a traffic stop Sept. 6, 2011, at Henderson Avenue and Allison Avenue in Washington after refusing BAC testing; sentence – 180 days to 18 months on a SCRAM monitor followed by 6 months of probation, 18-month driver’s license suspension, 12-month ignition interlock, $1,500 fine. William R. Stamm, 47, of Valley Grove, W.Va.; retail theft; charged as one of two men accused of stealing a laptop Dec. 10, 2010, from the Trinity Point Walmart; sentence – Intermediate Punishment Program for 23 months with the first 45 days served in jail followed by 3 months of electronic home monitoring, ordered to pay $448 restitution. Joseph Keillor, 26, of 6301 Helen St., Library; prohibited offensive weapons, theft; charged for showing a knife and gun while demanding money from a clerk Nov. 22, 2009, at Sunoco gas station on Washington Road, Finleyville; sentence – time served to 23 months in jail, ordered to be released to parole immediately and pay $450 restitution. Thomas Pascoe, 51, of 6081 Brownsville Road Extension, Finleyville; disorderly conduct; charged after police were dispatched Jan. 6 to a medical call at his residence and discovered a switchblade knife, which Pascoe tried to hide after questioned about it; sentence – 6 months of probation. Appearing before Judge Debbie O’Dell Seneca were: Stacie L. Wals, 47, of 407 Duquesne Ave., Canonsburg; retail theft; charged for stealing merchandise May 3 from the Rite Aid pharmacy on Jefferson Avenue in Washington; sentence – Intermediate Punishment Program for 23 months with the first 6 months on intensive supervision, ordered to attend retail theft classes. Kristen Rowe, 23, of 1509 Martin Road, Connellsville; possession of a controlled substance; charged following a traffic stop June 1 at Barneys Run Road and Front Street in East Bethlehem Township; placed in the Probation Without Verdict program for 6 months.
