Numerous people recently appeared in Washington County Court on criminal charges. Appearing before Judge Katherine B. Emery was: Carrie M. Yevcinez, 40, of 356 Coyle Curtain Road, Monongahela; retail theft; charged Dec. 23 at Giant Eagle in South Strabane Township; sentence – 12 months of probation. Appearing before Judge Janet Moschetta Bell were: Jeffrey L. Herman, 34, of 1715 Fourth St., Monongahela; second DUI offense; charged Aug. 11, 2011, following a traffic stop on Route 88 in Union Township with a 0.224 BAC; sentence – Intermediate Punishment Program for 18 months with the first 180 days on electronic home monitoring, $1,500 fine, drug and alcohol evaluation and treatment, driver’s license suspension. Rachel R. Phillips, 30, of 521 E. Maiden St., Washington; retail theft; charged July 2, 2011, at Walmart in South Strabane Township; sentence – 12 months of probation. Randy E. Weaver, 45, of 174 McKenery Drive, Belle Vernon; possession of Xanax; charged Nov. 25 at the Mon Valley Hospital emergency room; sentence – 4 to 12 months in jail. Robert L. Welsh III, 31, of 305 Taylor Ave., Washington; false identification; charged July 15, 2011, following a traffic stop on Cherry Way in Cecil Township; sentence – 12 months of probation. Jeremiah J. Vonfisher, 22, of 40 S. Main St., Ellsworth; criminal trespass; charged Aug. 26, 2011, at 113 S. Pine St., Ellsworth; sentence – 30 days of probation. James P. Stefkovich, 30, of 284 Shades of Death Road, Avella; furnishing drug-free urine; charged March 26 at Washington County Adult Probation; sentence – 12 months of probation. Calvin Kovalchuk, 24, of 465 Fourth St., Charleroi; possession of Roxicodone; charged July 13 on Fourth Street in Charleroi; sentence – 12 months of probation. Andrew Bonus, 27, of 38 Homestead St., Avella; theft; charged April 17 for stealing items from 50 Vankirk Road, North Franklin Township; sentence – Intermediate Punishment Program for 18 months with the first 3 months of intensive supervision. Kevin L. Harris, 27, of 641 Thompson Ave., Donora; driving with a suspended license DUI-related; charged June 26 following a traffic stop on Route 837 in Carroll Township; sentence – 90 days in jail, $1,000 fine. Ryan M. Crabtree, 21, of 260 Buckey Hill Road, Wellsboro, W.Va.; false reports; charged May 31 at 478 Westland Road, Mt. Pleasant Township; sentence – 12 months of probation. John T. Miller, 25, of 103 Wood St., Belle Vernon; theft; charged Nov. 8 for stealing copper wiring from a Murray Energy site on Main Street in New Eagle; sentence – 3 to 23 months in jail One person was admitted to the ARD program: Thomas J. Manganas, 25, of 119 Clearview Drive, McMurray; first DUI offense, possession of drug paraphernalia; charged Feb. 18 following a traffic stop on East McMurray Road in Peters Township with a 0.22 BAC; sentence – 12 months on the ARD program followed by 6 months of probation. Appearing before Judge Gary Gilman was: Kathyrn Gallo, 19, of 523 Second St., California; possession of oxycodone and Opana, criminal conspiracy; charged June 6 at Redstone Pharmacy in California; placed in the Probation Without Verdict program for 6 months.
