UNIONTOWN – A Western Pennsylvania man and woman have each been sentenced to 4½ to 9 years in prison in the malnutrition and dehydration death of their young daughter, who used a feeding tube. The (Uniontown) Herald-Standard said a Fayette County judge imposed the sentences Thursday on 37-year-old Tammy Bohon and 57-year-old Robert Dodson. They pleaded guilty last month to involuntary manslaughter and endangering the welfare of children in the January 2011 death of 15-month-old Madison Dodson. Both acknowledged in court that they knew the child was very sick but did nothing to help her. Judge Steve Leskinen said the parents should have called for help or taken the child to a hospital. The couple’s remaining seven children have been placed in foster care.
