CHICAGO – The wife of Vice President Joe Biden has canceled events in Pennsylvania because of the approaching storm – but the vice president himself will be coming to the commonwealth on Thursday. The Obama campaign announced Sunday that Jill Biden’s scheduled events in Pennsylvania and North Carolina on Sunday and today had been canceled. The campaign said the action was taken “out of an abundance of caution to ensure that all local law enforcement and emergency management resources can stay focused on ensuring the safety of people who might be impacted by the storm.” But officials also announced that Vice President Joe Biden will speak “at grassroots events in Iowa and Pennsylvania” on Thursday. No information was immediately given on the location or time of the events.
