A Cecil Township man killed in a two-vehicle accident Saturday was a passenger in a car driven by his wife, Cecil Township police said Monday. Dennis Cook, 64, was pronounced dead at the scene by Washington County Coroner Tim Warco after the 2:13 p.m. crash, police said. The accident occurred in front of 2058 Route 980 near Weavertown Lane when the vehicle driven by his wife, Lynn Cook, 62, spun on the wet roadway and collided with a vehicle operated by Patricia Dolansky, 49, of Southview. Dolansky was taken to Canonsburg General Hospital complaining of knee pain. Lynn Cook was taken to UPMC-Mercy hospital, Pittsburgh, along with two rear-seat passengers, both juveniles whose names were not released. Police said following the fatal accident, the state Department of Transportation was notified and responded to the scene to treat the wet roadway. PennDOT also placed signs on the road warning of wet roads, police said. Assisting police at the scene were Cecil Township firefighters from Muse and Cecil, and firefighters from McDonald.
