When Phyllis Pirknik of Canonsburg arrived at her business at 160 W. Pike St. Friday morning and found the place trashed, she thought it had been burglarized so she called Canonsburg police. A break-in occurred, but it wasn’t the usual suspect. Apparently a deer had jumped through the window, destroyed some equipment and then left through the same window. Police said the deer thrashed around the office, damaging a telephone, calculator, computer monitor and keyboard, desk chair and file folders.
