A teen happening will be held from 1 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the CBM Ministry Center in Jefferson. The happening is for students in grades 6 to 12. The cost is $7 per person. A special speaker, three youth bands, basketball tournament, volleyball tournament and more will be held. An evening meal is provided. Julia Gaggiani will be the opening act for No Contract Band that will perform from 8 p.m. to midnight Saturday at the Waynesburg Eagle 598. Members and guests are welcome. Election Day food will be available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Spraggs United Methodist Church. Sandwiches on the menu will include chicken, hot sausage, ham barbecue, hot dogs, chili dogs and sloppy joes. The side dishes will be hobo beans, noodles and vegetable soup. Assorted homemade cakes, pies and beverages will also be sold. Takeouts are available. A dinner menu of baked steak with mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, coleslaw, rolls, dessert and beverage will start at 5 p.m. The cost of dinner is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children six and under. A craft sale will also be held throughout the day.There will be a second chance to see the “Painting on Pottery: A Collaboration” show, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 9 and 10 at 554 Ross St., Waynesburg. Jennifer Adamson and Carol Randolph are working to replace those designs that sold out during the first show: Trees, bird’s nests and dragonflies. This show will have no frills. It will be simply the pottery, Jim Randolph’s benches and stools, and Carol Randolph’s hand-painted basket lids which will be reduced 25 percent.
