California Two cited: Joshua Gumbert, 23, of Beaver Falls, and Eric Livsey, 22, of Monroeville, were cited for disorderly conduct Friday. According to California police, the two were involved in an incident on Union Street shortly before 2 a.m.
Man jailed: A Sewickley man was jailed Monday morning on numerous charges after he threatened a group of people with a knife in front of a California fraternity house. Joseph Baumgartner, 19, of 2362 Wharrey Drive, was involved in a verbal domestic argument shortly after midnight at 778 Orchard and Hickory Street when a group from the Theta Xi fraternity went outside to make sure the woman he was arguing with was OK. According to California police, Baumgartner then jumped out of the vehicle, pulled a switch blade knife and threatened to kill everyone. He then fled the scene but later was found very intoxicated. Police charged him with making terroristic threats, simple assault, eight counts of recklessly endangering another person and harassment. He also was charged with possessing a prohibited offensive weapon, disorderly conduct, public intoxication and underage drinking. He was arraigned before District Judge Larry Hopkins and placed in the Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.
Man charged: Nicholas Ryan Hawk, 19, of 6 Short St., Daisytown, was charged with criminal mischief, underage drinking and public drunkenness when California police found him sleeping on a street bench at the intersection of Wood and Second streets Monday morning. Police said a passerby reported him sleeping on a the bench which was newly broken, police said.
CANTON Charges pending: State police said charges are pending against Tina Marie Yeager, 46, of 1157 E. Wilmington St., Washington, following lab results after troopers found two marijuana plants growing in her vegetable garden Friday. Police were called to the home for a domestic disturbance. Someone told police there were marijuana plants out back. Trooper Chad Weaver said Yeager showed him the plants growing in her tomato garden; one was about 24 inches high and the other one was 40 inches high, he said. She will be charged with drug possession with intent to deliver, Weaver said.
Harassment charges: Marci Gossic, 38, and Donald Fonner, 42, both of Washington, were charged with harassment following a physical altercation Sunday on Weirich Avenue.
FALLOWFIELD Teen found: A teen reported missing from 139 Fox Stop Road has been found. State police at Belle Vernon said Joyce Addis, 17, stopped at the barracks Monday night and was returned to her family.
FRANKLIN Harassment reported: Chay Salsberry, 18, of Clarksville, Fayette County, was accused of harassment by state police in Belle Vernon after she struck Paula Gaskill, 36, of Smock, several times with her hands Saturday.
INDEPENDENCE Items stolen: Lindy Paving reported to police exhaust pipes, a fire extinguisher, an ignition key and gas cap were stolen from a milling machine and paver while it was parked on Meadowcroft Road. State police said the theft occurred between Aug. 6 and Sunday.
NORTH STRABANE Man injured: Jerome Q. McKoy, 29, of Rankin, was flown by medical helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh following a one-car accident on Interstate 79 Sunday morning. State police said McKoy went off the road on the northbound side and, as he attempted to re-enter, he overcorrected, and the vehicle crossed the median and rolled over twice, coming to rest in the passenger lane on the southbound side. A person stopping to assist managed to pull McKoy out of the vehicle, police said.
