A Washington man was arraigned Wednesday for allegedly assaulting a California police officer during a July traffic stop.

Davis Wade Hall, 20, was a passenger in a car stopped July 7 in the 200 block of Fifth Street,

The owner of the vehicle gave police permission to search the vehicle and they found three shotgun slugs and a digital scale. During the search, Hall reportedly became aggressive with officers.

He was arraigned before District Judge Joshua Kanalis on charges of aggravated assault, disorderly conduct, careless driving, reckless driving, driving without a license, driving the wrong way, harassment and underage drinking.

Hall was placed in Washington County Jail on $50,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is set for Oct. 9.
