PITTSBURGH – A Pittsburgh-area teen has been sentenced to 20 to 40 years in prison for fatally shooting a young man in a McDonald’s parking lot.

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports that 17-year-old Akeem Willie of Homewood was sentenced Wednesday after he pleaded guilty to third-degree murder for the death of 18-year-old Dalyn Jones in August, 2011.

A deal with the district attorney’s office made the penalties for other charges including robbery, conspiracy and illegally possessing a weapon run with the 20-to-40-year term.

Police claim Willie shot and killed Jones after a marijuana deal went bad.
