Numerous people appeared recently in Washington County Court on criminal charges.
Appearing before Judge Katherine Emery were:
Elaine Ondra, 44, of 970 1/2 Wayne St., Washington; second offense of driving under the influence of alcohol; charged Aug. 1 following a traffic stop at Third Street and Jefferson Avenue, Washington, refusing a breath test; 30 days in jail followed by 60 days on home monitoring with work release, $1,500 fine, 18-month license suspension.
Dimiah Smith, 22, of 357 Highland Ridge Road, Marianna; receiving stolen property; charged with receiving items stolen from 2 Mill St., Millsboro; sentence – 24 months of probation.
Several people were admitted into the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program for first-time offenders. If they successfully complete the program, they can petition the court to expunge their records. Appearing before Emery were:
Geoffrey W. Staley, 23, of Clubview Drive, McMurray, was admitted for 6 months for theft from a motor vehicle. He was charged Aug. 8 for stealing three GPS units, power cords, mounts and a pair of Oakley sunglasses from vehicles on Gateshead Drive and Scarborough Lane, Peters Township.
Victoria L. Welden, 23, of 109 Fourth St., Perryopolis, was admitted for 12 months for providing false identification to a law enforcement officer and driving without a license. She was charged Aug. 4 following a traffic stop in the 100 block of McKean Avenue, Donora.
Raven Bishop, 20, of 68573 Old Cadiz Road, Bridgeport, Ohio, was admitted for 12 months for retail. She was charged April 16 at Little Ceasar’s Pizza, 152 E. Pike St., Canonsburg, for activating gift cards for cash, where she was an employee.
Donna J. Jones, 38, of 29 Franklin St., Cokeburg, was admitted for 6 months for theft of property lost by mistake. She was charged on July 1 at Giant Eagle, 155 Wilson Road, Bentleyville, after finding a pocketbook in a shopping cart then keeping it.
Appearing before Judge John DiSalle were:
Cody P. Helmick, 23, of 3136 W. Chestnut St., Washington, was admitted for 6 months for theft. He was charged Dec. 16 for stealing a card containing money out of a newspaper mail box intended for the newspaper carrier in the area of Armstrong Drive and Weirich Ave., Canton Township.
Barbara F. Lombardo, 53, of 170 Cross Creek Road, Avella, was admitted for 12 months for a first offense of DUI.

Bonnie L. Ermlick, 60, of 700 Jacobs Ferry Road, Carmichaels, was admitted for 12 months for false identification to law enforcement. She was charged Jan. 9 at Gabriel Brothers, Washington Road, South Strabane Township.
Brandon L. Daniels, 27, of 785 McKean Ave., was admitted for 6 months for corruption of minors. He was charged July 30 for providing marijuana to minors and smoking it with them at 454 Fourth St. Rear, Donora.
