QUAKERTOWN (AP) — Authorities say autopsies are scheduled on an eastern Pennsylvania family of four found dead of apparent carbon monoxide fumes after what investigators believe was a suicide attempt by the husband.

WFMZ-TV reports the coroner will perform autopsies Wednesday on the family, whose bodies were found at their home in Milford Township in rural Bucks County.

Bucks County District Attorney David Heckler said Tuesday night that a state police investigation found Gary Reitnauer went to the garage of an adjacent home on the family’s property on Monday and started the car following a disagreement with his wife, Michelle.

He says authorities believe Michelle Reitnauer and the family’s two daughters tried to rescue him and were overcome by the fumes.
