PITTSBURGH (AP) — A western Pennsylvania man must stand trial on charges he dangled his girlfriend’s infant daughter out a window, then doused the woman with perfume and lit her on fire.

Twenty-seven-year-old Clinton Cohen, of Wilkinsburg, was ordered to stand trial on attempted homicide and other charges after Monday’s preliminary hearing, at which 22-year-old Maria Redman testified.

The woman says Cohen accused her of cheating on him and grabbed the 3-month-old baby and held her out the window by her clothing. When Redman objected, she says Cohen told her, “That baby’s not mine. I don’t care.”

Redman says Cohen then punched and choked her and used a lighter to set her on fire after dousing her with perfume. Redman spent nine days in the hospital.

Cohen remains jailed unable to post $1 million bond.
