Roof stolen: A representative of the Washington County Fairgrounds notified township police Monday afternoon metal roofing from the pig barn had been stolen after it was damaged in a recent storm, the police report indicates.

Theft report: Assorted farming implements owned by David Bertovich of Avella were stolen between Friday and Monday from an unlocked barn along Bethel Ridge Road, state police said.

Drugs found: A baggie of suspected cocaine was found about 3:30 a.m. Sunday on the floor of The Meadows Casino off Racetrack Road, state police said. An hour earlier, police said, a bottle containing an unknown medication was found in the building.

Theft case: Shane Newman, 20, of 345 Moon Road, Washington, is charged with theft in a summons filed Tuesday by city police, accused of stealing jewelry valued at $450 from his mother’s residence on Chartiers Street about midnight July 10.

Assault report: Patricia Ann Dillard, 33, of 1090 Jefferson Ave., Washington, is charged with simple assault in a summons filed Tuesday by city police, accused of punching a girl several times in the ribs about 7 p.m. July 20.

Man jailed: Deangelo Wells, 25, of 429 Houston St., Washington, was arraigned Tuesday before District Judge Robert Redlinger on two counts of simple assault and one count of recklessly endangering another person. Wells is accused of striking Akili Sutton of McDonald twice with a semi-automatic pistol July 13 in the rear lot of 88 N. Main St. Wells was taken to Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.
