East Franklin Grange 1709’s meeting scheduled today has been canceled. The next meeting will be at 7 p.m. Aug. 22.

Cornerstone Genealogial Society will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the log courthouse on Greene Street, Waynesburg. Speaker will be Judge Farley Toothman, who will present a talk on “Necrology of the Greene County Bench and Bar.” The public is welcome.

Morgan Township Society of Farm Women will meet at noon Aug. 14 in Calvary Baptist Church. Audrey Jacobs will preside during the business meeting; Shirley Elkins will have devotions. The hostess for lunch will be Betty Hurd. Members are asked to bring a covered dish. The guest will be Linda Wigington and roll call will be answered to the question, “Do you have a use for plastic grocery bags?”
