JOHNSTOWN (AP) – Police say a man being sought in the stabbing death of his girlfriend at a western Pennsylvania car wash has turned himself in to face charges.
The (Johnstown) Tribune-Democrat says 21-year-old Demetrius Gibson of Johnstown surrendered just before midnight Saturday accompanied by family members.
Sgt. Patrick Goggin said he was arraigned and taken to Cambria County prison pending a preliminary hearing.
Police had sought Gibson since his live-in girlfriend, 21-year-old Elizabeth Ann Miller, was stabbed to death Aug. 6 at a car wash bay.
Police said she the two argued but later agreed to meet to talk and exchange a phone.
Court records indicate that Gibson faces one count of homicide and two counts of aggravated assault as well as a charge of recklessly endangering another person.
