COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) – An Ohio teenager who authorities are accusing of allegedly being involved in the slaying of a store clerk last month has been charged with a third homicide.
The Columbus Dispatch reports the 17-year-old Columbus male was charged with murder Wednesday for the July 21 slaying of 22-year-old Quinten Ellis-John Prater.
Police have released the teen’s name. The Associated Press generally doesn’t identify suspects in juvenile court.
Police say that after Prater’s slaying, the teen told his mother he had unintentionally shot someone.
On Thursday, the teen was charged with attempted murder for a shooting at a truck stop.
The teen already faces murder charges for his alleged involvement in the fatal shooting of convenience store clerk Imran Ashgar and 17-year-old Lamont Frazier’s slaying.
All cases happened within one week.
