Cards, prescription stolen: Michele Smyda of McKees Rocks told Canonsburg police Tuesday that debit cards and prescription medication were stolen from her purse while she was visiting a friend at a Canonsburg home over the weekend.

Drills, copper stolen: Canonsburg police said two Craftsman drills with batteries, chargers and cases and three pieces of copper were reported stolen Tuesday from Frazier’s Plumbing, 575 W. Pike St. The thief reportedly used a pallet to climb over a fence and enter the yard.

Charged in theft: Tiffany Marie Schmidt, 18, of 734 Wildflower Drive, McDonald, was charged this week by Cecil police with theft. She is accused of stealing $1,132 in lottery tickets, cash and groceries while working at In & Out Grocery, 3369 Millers Run Road, last month. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Valarie Costanzo.

Charles W. Puklus, 32, of 265 Parkwood Circle, was charged this week by Cecil police with simple assault for allegedly pushing his sister, Amie Puklus, against the wall and choking her during a Nov. 21 domestic dispute at their home. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Valarie Costanzo.

Theft, conspiracy charges: Gil Fullum, 48, of 102 Peco St., Canonsburg, was charged this week by Cecil police with theft and conspiracy for his alleged role in the theft of steel cylinders and clutches from Hanco Inc., 102 Freedom Drive, Lawrence, on Nov. 19. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Valarie Costanzo.

Driver charged: Corey J. Mack 22, of Winston-Salem, N.C., was charged Monday by state police with driving under the influence of a controlled substance stemming from a Oct. 28 crash on Interstate 79 north near the Houston exit, North Strabane. Police said he was under the influence of marijuana. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Drug charges: Ronald Glenn Johnson, who has no known address, was arrested Wednesday by South Strabane police after he was found with suspected oxycodone by Washington County adult probation officers who were doing a compliance check on Nathan Ellis, 24, of Washington, at Spring Hill Suites, Trinity Point. Johnson was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller on charges of possession and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia. He was placed in Washington County Jail on $25,000 bond. Ellis was placed in jail on a probation violation. He also faces drug charges. The Washington County District Attorney’s Drug Task Force assisted in the arrest.

Retail theft charge: Thelma L. Turner, 51, of 154 S. Wade Ave., Washington, was charged last week by South Strabane police with retail theft after she allegedly stole seven items valued at almost $270 from Walmart, Trinity Point, on Nov. 19. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Prowler reported: Sharon Duncan, 6617 Library Road (Route 88), Union, told Southwest Regional police she saw people on her property early Sunday. Two men were seen in a white pickup truck in her driveway near her garage.

House trailer entered: Rebecca Hillman, 22 Limestone Drive, Union, told Southwest Regional police Monday that her house trailer was entered but nothing was reported stolen.

Theft: A wallet was reported stolen from a vehicle parked along the 700 block of Fayette Street Sunday.

Harassment: John Amon, 26, was charged with harassment after allegedly threatening members of a household in the 100 block of Maple Avenue Tuesday. The charge was filed by summons.

Assault: Howard Miller, 24, of Washington, was charged with simple assault after he allegedly exited his vehicle in the 1400 block of Jefferson Avenue Monday and assaulted a man. City police said the victim had injuries to his face. Miller was charged by summons.

Theft: Four railroad car axles were reported stolen from the 1100 block of Fayette Street. The loss was estimated at $1,000.

Theft: A ring with an estimated worth of $2,000 was reported stolen from a home on Murtland Avenue Monday, city police said.

Theft: A gold chain, a cellphone and prescription pills were reported stolen from a home in the 600 block of Maple Terrace Sunday. The name of a possible suspect was provided to city police.

Burglary: A flat-screen television was reported stolen from a home in the 900 block of Fayette Street Sunday. The owner told city police she left the front door unlocked to run an errand, and when she returned home, a man was on her front porch. The man fled, and police were unable to locate him.
