Assault attempt: Joseph Hustave, 38, of Bentleyville, told Southwest Regional police that he was on Main Street about 6:45 p.m. Friday when an occupant of a dark pickup truck with a cap on the back threw a copper pipe at his head. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-929-8484.
Harassment charge: Kendell Davis, 46, of 540 S. Central Ave., Canonsburg, will be charged with harassment by Canonsburg police after he allegedly hit his 55-year-old estranged wife, Margaret Davis, in the face during a confrontation Saturday at her Canonsburg home. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Money stolen: Tracy Barringer of 238 E. College St. told Canonsburg police Saturday that $120 was stolen from her wallet at her home. Charges are pending against the alleged thief.
Fraud, theft charges: William N. Sezawich, 35, of 513 Washington Ave., Charleroi, was arraigned Sunday on charges of access device fraud, identity theft and theft by deception filed by Charleroi Regional police for allegedly using a credit card owned by Donnie Collins of Charleroi to make $423 in purchases at Lowe’s and $37.45 in purchases at a beer distributor. He was arraigned before District Judge Valarie Costanzo and released on $50,000 unsecured bond.
Charged in assault: Dale W. Cianflone, 48, of 129 North Ave., East Washington, was arrested Sunday by East Washington police for allegedly pushing Karen Ann Winter, 54, during a confrontation at his home. Winter was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment of a deep head laceration. Cianflone was arraigned before District Judge Valarie Costanzo on charges of simple assault and harassment. He was placed in Washington County jail on $20,000 bond.
Theft, receiving charges: Christopher Lee Damerow, 27, of 114 W. Pitt St., Canonsburg, was placed in Washington County jail Monday on charges of theft and receiving stolen property filed by East Washington police. He is accused of stealing video game consoles, controllers and games from an apartment at 40 North Ave. The items belonged to Domenick Delbello and Matthew Young. Damerow was arraigned last week from the Allegheny County jail via video before District Judge Jay Weller. Damerow is now in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
Assault, harassment charges: Daniel F. Helmantoler, 42, of 513 Jackson St., Monongahela, was arrested Sunday by Monongahela police for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend at their home. He was arraigned before District Judge Valarie Costanzo on charges of simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment. Helmantoler was placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
Threats, harassment charges: Jean Alberta McLaughlin, 41, of 667 N. Main St., Houston, was charged Thursday by Mt. Pleasant police with terroristic threats and harassment for allegedly sending a text message the previous day to Julie Mullaney of Mt. Pleasant, threatening to assault her. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Valarie Costanzo.
Assault, harassment charges: William Orton, 58, of 140 Eberle Road, Hickory, was charged Thursday by Mt. Pleasant police with simple assault and harassment for allegedly assaulting a hunter who was on Orton’s posted property the previous day. He is accused of confronting Ronald Coulter of McDonald and ripping out part of his beard. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Valarie Costanzo.
Package stolen: Pamela Medley of 137 Cumberland Ave. told North Franklin police last week that a package containing winter boots was delivered to her home. She saw the package outside her door when she left to run errands, and when she returned it was gone.
DUI charge: Ronald E. Richmond, 52, of 8 Teri Lane, Washington, was charged Dec. 3 by North Franklin police with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under suspension and a stop sign violation. An officer was monitoring traffic in an unmarked car on Sanitarium Road when he said he spotted Richmond go through a stop sign. According to police, Richmond then pulled up next to the unmarked cruiser and started honking and waving his arms at the officer before pulling away. Police said they pulled over Richmond, whose blood-alcohol content was more than 2 1/2 times the 0.08 percent limit presumed for intoxication. At first, Richmond allegedly told police that he had 20 beers but later said he had 10. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
One hurt: Richard Cochran, 72, of 234 Ross St., Houston, was injured Thursday night when he turned the taxi he was driving for First Transit into the path of a pickup truck driven by Jared S. Wilkins, 47, of Wister, Okla., on West Chestnut at Moore Road, North Franklin police said. Cochran was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment.
Charged with sexual assault: Nicolas Ortiz, 19, of Pittsburgh, was charged by Peters police with sexual assault for allegedly having sex with a woman who had spurned his advances early Sunday. The two were visiting friends at a home on Rutledge Drive. The alleged victim told police that she awoke to find Ortiz engaging in sexual intercourse with her after she previously told him that she was not interested. He was arraigned before District Judge Valarie Costanzo and placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.
DUI charge: Renee Marie Ankrom, 45, of Pittsburgh, was arrested early Sunday by state police and charged with DUI after she was found stopped on Route 18 near Old Scales Road, South Franklin. Police said they determined that she had struck a guardrail earlier on Interstate 79. Ankrom, who police said had a BAC more than double the 0.08 percent limit presumed for intoxication, was arraigned before District Judge Valarie Costanzo and released from Washington County jail after posting $2,500 bond.
Money stolen: Toni Roe of Canton Township told South Strabane police Saturday that $398 was stolen from her purse that she left in her vehicle while she was working at Lowe’s, Strabane Square.
Wallet stolen: Brianna Sivek of Finleyville told South Strabane police that her wallet containing $620, her WIC card and state identification card was stolen Saturday while she was at Walmart, Trinity Point.
Tools stolen: Tools, laser levels and drills valued at $21,375 were reported stolen Friday from the Old Mill construction site off Route 19, South Strabane police said. An employee of Mosites told police that the thief entered two secured tool sheds. Tools were stolen from a gang box in one of the sheds. Nothing was stolen from the second shed. A gang box owned by a subcontractor also was broken into but it was not known if anything was stolen .
Knife, drug charges: Zjebeliah Waiter, 18, of Waynesburg, was charged by summons after he was found in possession of a knife and prescription medication in April, city police said.
Paraphernalia charges: Ryan P. Perkins, 26, of Clarksville, was charged by summons after he was found in possession of drug-related items in July, city police said.
Paraphernalia charges: Justin Vuono, 21, of Mather, was charged by summons after he was found in possession of drug-related items in July, city police said.
Marijuana charge: Jessica K. Newman, 25, of Washington, was charged by summons with possessing marijuana in August, city police said.
Theft: Hog Father’s, 1301 Jefferson Ave., reported the theft of $700 Saturday, city police said. The name of a suspect was provided to police.
Criminal mischief: Three tires were slashed and a window cracked on a vehicle parked on the 300 block of Donnan Avenue Saturday, city police said.
Theft: A man reported $400 missing from his wallet Saturday. He told city police the theft occurred when he went to a house in the 800 block of Fayette Street.
Theft: Eight dealer plates were reported missing from Budd Baer, 71 Murtland Ave., Friday, city police said.
Burglary: A Remington rifle was reported stolen from a home in the 400 block of Addison Street Friday, city police said. The name of a suspect was provided to police.
