Carmichaels ministerium to sponsor candlelight journey

The Carmichaels Ministerium will sponsor “The Candlelight Journey through Christmas” Sunday at three different churches.
The program will begin at 5 p.m. inside the Greene Valley Presbyterian Church at 104 E. Greene St., with a 15-minute program of sharing the Christmas story by two speakers, the Rev. Keith Larson and Marty Yoskovich. There will be a solo by Allie Christopher accompanied by Lura Ann Cree and drama by Sarah Hathaway.
Participants then will walk, drive or ride the bus provided by the Greene Valley Church of God to St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church at 224 S.Market St., where a 10-minute program (outside) will feature speaker Dale Mitchell and drama by Courtney and Chelsea Townsend.
The procession will proceed to St. Hugh Roman Catholic Church at 408 Route 88 for an inside service. The speakers will be Jason Matyus, Elisa Clark and Tony Mata. Soloists will be Devan Dommon, Karen Bogucki and Lennet Kerr. Closing prayer will be given by Father John Bauer, followed by refreshments provided by St. Hugh Church.
The Carmichaels Ministerium will provide battery operated tea lights that can be placed in a container at St. Hugh’s Church. Particpants are asked to bring their own flashlights.
