Three people are in Washington County jail after their arrests in connection with the theft and sale of rifles stolen from a Charleroi home in October.

Nicole Lynne Pelzer, 29, and Matthew Robison, 26, were arraigned Thursday morning before District Judge Larry Hopkins, while Ryan Robison, 30, was arraigned Wednesday night before District Judge Mark Wilson.

Charleroi Regional police were called Oct. 31 to 611 Meadow Ave. for a reported theft of firearms from the home. Louise Davis told police that her grandson, Matthew Davis, was getting ready to go hunting when he discovered a .22-caliber rifle was missing. He then checked more closely and discovered four more rifles also were gone.

There was no sign of forced entry.

Police asked Pelzer, a neighbor of Davis, to come to the station Nov. 26. After she was read her Miranda warning, police said Pelzer admitted to stealing the rifles and then selling them at different locations with Ryan and Matthew Robison.

Pelzer allegedly told police that they used the money from the sale of the rifles to purchase heroin.

Pelzer, who is charged with five counts each of theft, receiving stolen property and conspiracy, and Matthew Robison, who is charged with two counts each of receiving stolen property and conspiracy, are in jail on $75,000 bonds. Ryan Robison, who is charged with two counts each of receiving stolen property and conspiracy, is in jail on $5,000 bond.

All three are scheduled for preliminary hearings before Hopkins Dec. 23.
