The following people were sentenced recently in Washington County Court.

Appearing before Judge Edward Borkowski were:

Robert D. Smith, 43, of 1948 Smith Township State Road, Slovan; driving under the influence of alcohol; charged July 2; sentence – 10 days to 6 months in jail with the first 10 days on home monitoring, $500 fine, 12-month license suspension.

Caleb M. Sommer, 27, of 220 Coremont Ave., Washington; second offense of DUI; charged May 13; sentence – 30 days to 6 months in jail with the first 30 days on home monitoring, $300 fine, 12-month license suspension, 12-month ignition interlock.

Bryan M. Palmer, 42, of 56 Calvert St., Bridgeville; DUI; charged March 30; sentence – 3 days to 6 months in jail, credit for time served, $1,000 fine, 12-month license suspension.

Mark E. Meehan Jr., 28, of 301 Anton St., Monongahela; second offense of DUI; charged Aug. 2; sentence – 6 to 23 months in jail with the first 6 months on home monitoring with work release, $1,500 fine, 18-month license suspension, 12-month ignition interlock.

Corwin F. Riedel, 33, of 312 N. Central Ave., Canonsburg; DUI, driving with a suspended license; charged July 29; sentence – 2 days to 6 months in jail, $700 fine, 12-month license suspension.

Chelsea L. Carter, 25, of 100 Clearview Lane, Gastonville; second offense of DUI; charged Nov. 30, 2012; sentence – 10 days to 6 months in jail with the first 10 days on home monitoring with work release, $300 fine, 12-month license suspension, 12-month ignition interlock.

Brenda K. Bercosky, 58, of 29 Hedge Ave., Marianna; two counts of DUI; charged Dec. 14, 2012 and Jan. 27; sentence – 30 days to 6 months in jail with the first 30 days on home monitoring with work release, $800 fine, 12-month license suspension. 6 months of probation, $300 fine.

Scott T. Hoy Jr., 29, of 262 W. Dividing Ridge Road, Prosperity; fourth offense of DUI; charged May 26; sentence – 23 months on county restrictive treatment program, 12 months on home monitoring, $1,500 fine, 18-month license suspension, 12-month ignition interlock.

John R. Massey III, 22, of 1328 Overlook Terrace, Donora; second offense of DUI; charged May 11; sentence – 30 days to 6 months in jail, $750 fine, 12-month license suspension, 12-month ignition interlock.

Edward W. Wertman, 45, of 112 Inverness Drive, McMurray; second offense of DUI; charged May 18; sentence – 60 days to 6 months in jail with the first 60 days on home monitoring with work release, $750 fine, 12-month license suspension, 12-month ignition interlock.

Tracy S. Magnelli, 48, of 1991 N. Main St., Washington; second offense of DUI; charged July 19; sentence – 60 days to 6 months in jail with the first 60 days on home monitoring, $750 fine, 12-month license suspension, 12-month ignition interlock.

Appearing before Judge Katherine Emery were:

Cody R. Ruff, 24, of 239 Old Scales Road, Washington; possession of drug paraphernalia; charged Oct. 25, 2012; placed in the Probation Without Verdict program for 12 months.

David A. Girimonte, 28, of 422 Perry Ave., Belle Vernon; possession of a controlled substance; charged Aug. 19; sentence – 6 to 12 months in jail with work release.

Randall L. Johnson, 56, of 1399 SR 481, Charleroi; second offense of DUI; charged Jan. 9; sentence – 10 days to 6 months in jail with the first 10 days on home monitoring with work release, $300 fine, 12-month license suspension, 12-month ignition interlock.

Patrick L. Thurston, 48, of 140 W. College St., Canonsburg; simple assault; charged Dec. 23, 2012; sentence – 12 months of probation.

Sky T. Desensi, 38, of 16 N. Buffalo Road, Washington; criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking; charged April 19; sentence – 6 to 23 months in jail with work release.

Blaine Howcroft, 27, of 4199 Battleridge Road, McDonald;

Leah C. Harris, 50, of 219 McKean Ave., Apt. 2, Charleroi; retail theft; charged Oct. 25; sentence – 18 months of probation, no contact with Dollar General.

Tina Hitt, 395 Donnan Ave., Apt. 13, Washington; resisting arrest, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, false identification to law enforcement; charged Oct. 29, 2004; sentence – 12 months of probation.

Martin J. Pulido, 28, of 208 Singer Ave., McKees Rocks; possessing an instrument of crime; charged Sept. 30, 2011; sentence – 12 months of probation.

Appearing before Judge John DiSalle were:

Darci A. Digiacomo, 32, of 23 Oak St., Beallsville; retail theft; charged Oct. 12, 2012; sentence – 12 months of probation, banned from Walmart.

Karen M. Piccione, 56, of 209 First Ave., Monongahela; DUI, driving without a license, operating a vehicle without valid inspection, accident involving damage; charged July 4, 2012; sentence – 5 days to 12 months in jail, 12 months of probation, 12-month license suspension, $1,200 fine.

Patrick L. Parkman, 22, of 306 Lincoln Terrace, Washington; disorderly conduct; charged Dec. 18, 2011; sentence – $50 fine, 20 hours of community service.

Jesse A. Charnik, 24, of 38 Homestead Ave., Avella; possession of drug paraphernalia; charged Aug. 29; sentence – 12 months of probation.

Julius L. Smith, 22, of 15 N. Main St., Washington; receiving stolen property; charged April 1; sentence – 3 to 12 months in jail, no contact with victim, $40 restitution.

Patrick R. Kyle II, 32, of 227 Knox Ave., Monessen; criminal trespassing, theft by unlawful taking, conspiracy to commit theft by unlawful taking; charged Sept. 7, 2012; sentence – 3 to 12 months in jail, no contact with victim, no contact with co-defendants, 12 months of probation.
