Graysville man pleads guilty to assaulting teen
WAYNESBURG – Ulysses Arleigh Zimmerman, 30, formerly of Graysville, pleaded guilty last week in Greene County Court to corruption of minors and indecent assault stemming fron an attack Oct. 9 of a 16-year old girl in Richhill Township. A charge of aggravated indecent assault of a person under the age of 16 was withdrawn.
Judge Farley Toothman reduced Zimmerman’s bail to $2,500 unsecured and ordered him to report weekly to the Greene County probation office while he awaits sentencing. The sentence is pending an evaluation by the state’s Sexual Offenders Assessment Board.
While out on bail, Zimmerman is required to live with his sister, Agnes Thomas, at 21 Eastview Trailer Court, Waynesburg. He is also required to have Thomas accompany him at the weekly check-ins with the probation office.
Zimmerman also pleaded guilty to an unrelated charge of theft by unlawful taking. On Oct. 24, 2012, Zimmerman and an alleged accomplice went to a residence at 1392 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, where a gold necklace and $5 in change was stolen.
He received one year of probation, a $250 fine and must serve 125 hours of community service, in addition to paying restitution of $155 to Tonya Stafford for the theft charge.
As a special condition of his sentence he can have no contact with Stafford or her family.
