The Waynesburg Area Chamber of Commerce has announced broadcast dates for the 2013 Downtown Waynesburg Christmas Parade.

The parade will be shown on the Comcast cable system serving Waynesburg and Franklin Township. Parade coverage will begin at 7 p.m. Dec. 23 on channel 14. Coverage will repeat at the top of every hour until Dec. 25.

The parade also can be viewed online at http://wctv.waynesburg.edu

Click the “Playlists” tab and scroll to the bottom of the program listings. Click “Waynesburg Christmas Parades” and select the first parade listed.

Previous Waynesburg Christmas parades also are available online.

The parade coverage was produced by Waynesburg University’s Department of Communication. “The production is our Communication Department’s Christmas gift to Greene County,” said Bill Molzon, director of the university’s TV operations.

Parade coverage also includes an excerpt from a concert presented by Waynesburg University’s Department of Fine Arts and the Music Program, “Sounds of the Season.” The concert was performed in Roberts Chapel on the campus.

The Waynesburg Area Chamber of Commerce would also like to thank all those businesses and individuals who helped to make this year’s parade a success. Ninety-one units participated in the parade and officially welcomed Santa into the downtown to kick-off the holiday season in Waynesburg.
