Home burglary: Justin and Stephanie Whitehouse, of 1750 S Bridge Road, reported their sliding glass door was broken and two televisions, a man’s watch and a lockbox were stolen Dec. 13, state police said. The loss is estimated at $2,200. Witnesses reported seeing a pale-colored pickup truck in the driveway. Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 724-223-2500.
Items stolen: Anthony Pasquariello, of 370 Vaneal Road, South Franklin, reported numerous items missing from his home between Dec.13 and Wednesday, state police said. Additional information was not provided in the report.
Man charged: Glenn Cubbage III, 44, of Washington, was charged with simple assault and harassment after city police said he grabbed a woman’s hand during an argument, causing a sprain or broken fingers. Police were called to the 600 block of Beech Street Thursday after reports of a man and woman screaming. When officers arrived, they knocked on the door. The door handle was missing and the door opened, city police said. Cubbage and the woman were separated, and the woman said Cubbage twisted her hand. The woman had bruising and swelling, city police said. Cubbage was arraigned by District Judge David Mark on a simple assault charge. He remains in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
Shots fired: City police were called to 370 Duncan Ave. for reports of shots fired about 12:49 a.m. Friday. Residents were asked to the leave the apartment building while police investigated. Eight bullet holes and numerous shell casings were found in a second-floor apartment, city police said. No injuries were reported.
