A community dinner will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. today in the social hall of the Rogersville United Methodist Church. The meal will include ham, macaroni and cheese, green beans, applesauce, dessert and drinks. The dinner is free and donations accepted. Carryout is available and everyone is welcome. Greene County Council on the Arts is sponsoring a bus trip Jan. 26 to a Pittsburgh Pops Concert, “The Music of John Williams.” Join us for an afternoon of well-known musical scores, including “Star Wars,” “E.T.”, “Jaws,” Superman” and “Harry Potter.” Williams is possibly the most famous cinematic composer of all time, as he has been nominated for 47 Academy Awards and won five Oscars. In addition to the concert ticket and bus transportation, the price includes a catered dinner served in the Overlook Room at Heinz Hall prior to returning to Waynesburg. Cost per person is $91.
