Charged in burglary: Ronald Fay Boyer, 20, of 66 Baby Hollow Road, Burgettstown, was charged this week by McDonald police with burglary, criminal trespass, theft and receiving stolen property for allegedly breaking into the home of Brenda Rommes, 14 Elm St., Tuesday. Stolen from the home were two Xbox controllers, video games and a cellphone. Boyer matched the description of a man seen in the area. He later allegedly admitted to police he stole the items and sold some at a Weirton, W.Va., pawn shop. The charges were filed at the office of District Judge Gary Havelka.

Disorderly charge: Michael Steve, 26, of 332 Third St., California, was charged by California police with disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia after they responded to his home Jan. 26 regarding a gun incident.

Paraphernalia charge: Aaron Areford, 21, of Clarksville, was charged by California police with possession of drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct after police said he was found with paraphernalia Jan. 27 in the 1000 block of Shutterly Street.

Charged in crash: Timmy L. Hamby, 47, of 331 Giffin Ave., Canonsburg, was charged Thursday by Canonsburg police with leaving the scene of a crash and failure to render aid stemming from a wreck Jan. 24 on West Pike Street by St. Patrick Church. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.

Two injured: Gayann Janet Johnson, 29, of Pittsburgh, and her passenger, Antonio C. Troutman, 24, of 451 Highfield Ave., Canonsburg, were injured Thursday night when their vehicle was struck by a vehicle driven by Robert A. Dittrich, 30, of 475 Spruce Lane, Houston. Canonsburg police said Dittrich was coming down Oak Spring Road when his vehicle slid into Johnson’s car on West Pike Street.

Wallet stolen: Adam Fincham of Venetia told Canonsburg police his wallet was stolen while he was at 68 E, Pike St. early Friday. The wallet contained $335, gift cards, a credit card and a debit card.

Vehicle damaged: A pickup truck owned by Shawn Clouson of 208 Vine St. and a house at 211 Vine St. were damaged Thursday when a tree came down, pulling down wires. The tree landed on the truck, Canonsburg police said.

Man arrested: Phillip O. Babasola, 46, of 1911 W. Chestnut St., Canton, was arrested Thursday by state police after he allegedly refused to allow Christina Grayson to leave their home. He was arraigned before District Judge David Mark on charges of false imprisonment and harassment. He was placed in the Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.

Charged in theft: Damien Lee Staley, 110 Maple St., Rices Landing, was charged Thursday with theft for allegedly stealing a laptop computer owned by Marcy Conklin from 197 Bench Ave., Canton, earlier this month, state police said. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.

Theft of copper: About 300 feet of copper was stolen from a West Penn Power Co. substation before 1:28 p.m. Thursday, township police said. A fence was cut at the location near the Southpointe entrance, and the copper was stolen. There is no estimate of value.

Assault, escape charges: Gregory Null, 32, of 1200 McGovern Road, Chartiers, was arrested Thursday night by Chartiers police and charged with simple assault, harassment, public drunkenness, possession of marijuana and escape, stemming from a domestic dispute. Police were called to Null’s residence after he allegedly assaulted his wife, Beth Null. He reportedly hit her in the face and pulled her hair. Police said he also knocked over furniture. She was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment. While at the police station being processed, he was allowed to call his attorney. Police said Null then ran from the station and was caught a few blocks away. He was arraigned on the charges before District Judge Larry Hopkins and placed in the Washington County jail on $35,000 bond.

Injured in crash: Timothy W. Gruber of 277 Linden Road, North Strabane, was injured Thursday afternoon when he crashed his 1979 Chevrolet Corvette Stringray in the 100 block of Linden Road, North Strabane police said. He had just purchased the vehicle that morning. The crash happened about an hour before it was discovered by a resident in the area. The car went off the road, over a hill and into a tree. Gruber had to be extricated by township firefighters. He was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. Police said blood was drawn to determine if alcohol was a factor.

Fuel stolen: Fuel was reported stolen Monday from trucks owned by ULC Fuel and Oil Co. while the vehicles were parked at an oil site at 801 Robinson Highway, McDonald police said.
