Southwestern Pennsylvania Water Authority will shut off the water from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. today on Porter Street from Walnut to Race streets and on Braden Street from Bridge to Porter streets in Waynesburg to upgrade the system. Customers may experience low pressure or no water and are advised to keep some containers of water to minimize the outage.

A benefit pasta dinner will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday in the fellowship hall of Clarksville Missionary Church. The dinner will include a choice of various types of pasta. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children 11 and under. Takeouts are available. Proceeds from the dinner will benefit a church member in need of a kidney transplant.
