Father, mother assaulted: Robert Allen Hill Jr., 33, of Goose Creek, S.C., was arrested early Wednesday by Canonsburg police after allegedly assaulting his father, Robert Allen Hill Sr., 57, and mother, Kathleen Marie Hill, 57, at his parents’ home at 317 Thornwood Drive. When police arrived at the home, they say Robert Hill Jr. was on top of his unconscious father. He also allegedly hit his mother when she tried to break up the fight. The younger Hill also allegedly kicked at officers as they tried to take him into custody. His mother told police both men had been drinking. The elder Hill was taken to Canonsburg General Hospital for treatment. Robert Hill Jr. was arraigned before District Judge Larry Hopkins on two counts each of simple assault and harassment. He was placed in the Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.

Woman assaulted: Robert A. Cook, 53, of 3207 Reissing Road, McDonald, is charged by Cecil police with simple assault, accused of punching Jessica Johns in the head and body about 11 p.m. Tuesday in his residence, court records show. He is in the Washington County jail on $25,000 bond set by District Judge Larry Hopkins.

Drug arrest: Tiffany Ann Goffert, 42, of 514 W. Grove Ave., McDonald, Allegheny County, was taken into custody Friday night by McDonald police on a warrant on drug charges filed against her by the state police vice unit. She was arraigned before District Judge Anthony Savelkis on charges of possession and possession with intent to deliver drugs and placed in the Allegheny County jail on $5,000 bond.

Pair charged: Alfred L. Ralston, 29, and Kristina Marie Ralston, 28, both of 59 Chestnut Ridge Road, Washington, were charged Wednesday with retail theft by South Strabane police for allegedly stealing two batteries valued at $237.76 Dec. 8 from Walmart, Trinity Point. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
