The owner of a Canonsburg restaurant was arrested Thursday by borough police for allegedly threatening the mayor, code enforcement officer and his own brother earlier this week.

Sean R. Jordan, 42, of 214 Greenside Ave., Canonsburg, is charged with two counts of terroristic threats and five counts of harassment. Jordan owns McGrogan’s Tap Room and the adjacent Big Fella’s Pizza on East Pike Street.

Borough officials stopped at the restaurant Friday to talk with Jordan about him doing unauthorized construction work at the restaurant but were told by employees he was in Deep Creek, Md.

On Monday, Jordan called borough manager Terry Hazlett and left a message using profanity with several derogatory remarks, including a threat to “blow up the Pop Music Hall of Fame,” police said.

He also left a message about 6 a.m. Monday for code enforcement officer Sam Ditullio, using profanity and threatening to beat him up. He left a similar message for zoning officer Ron Bachner. A short time later, he called Mayor David Rhome and left profane remarks about the mayor and the mayor’s business. He then allegedly told the mayor to “leave me alone or I will get you.”

Also Monday, Robert Jordan arrived at the police station to file a complaint against his brother for allegedly threatening him. He returned two days later to show police threatening text messages reportedly sent to him by Sean Jordan. Sean Jordan allegedly threatened to harm his brother at the office of District Judge David Mark. He also told his brother to “have fun at Washington Hospital” and said he would drag Robert Jordan out of his apartment and kill him.

Jordan was arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward and placed in the Washington County jail on $100,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is set for Feb. 19 before Ward. Mark recused himself from the case.
