Several people were recently admitted to the Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition program for first-time offenders. If they successfully complete the program, they can petition the court to expunge their records.

Appearing before Judge John DiSalle were:

Laura L. Laughland, 25, of 721 Schoonmaker Ave., Monessen, admitted for 18 months and ordered to attend anger-management classes for simple assault. Laughland was charged for grabbing a 7-year-old girl by the hair and tossing the child across a room May 13 at a Chess Street apartment in Monongahela.

Jason Wright, 37, of 79 Lagonda Road, South Franklin Township, admitted for 18 months and ordered to pay $3,530 in restitution for theft and receiving stolen property. Wright was charged for stealing 1,000 gallons of diesel fuel Feb. 2, 2012, from Coen Oil Co. in Canton Township, where he was employed.

Patricia J. Sawka, 50, of 11 Ridge St., Brownsville, admitted for 12 months and ordered to pay $1,626 in restitution for identity theft and access device fraud. Sawka was charged for making unauthorized purchases between Sept. 5 and Sept. 15 on a relative’s credit card.

Lamont W. Johnson, 20, of 420 Euclid Ave., Canonsburg, admitted for 6 months for furnishing alcohol to a minor. Johnson was charged Nov. 3 after an underage male was found to be drinking alcohol on his porch.

Appearing before Judge Katherine Emery was:

Vidal D. Alvarez-Herrera, 47, of 104 Kathleen St., Washington, admitted for 12 months and received a 60-day license suspension for driving under the influence. Alvarez-Herrera was charged after being found in a vehicle parked near Allegheny Ludlum steel plant in Canton Township May 21, with a 0.198 percent blood-alcohol content.
