The Greene County Library System’s book sale ends Thursday. For the last two days of the sale, all items are $1 per bag. Hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today and noon to 5 p.m. Thuesday.

Community Sewing Circle of Time will meet Friday for an all-day meeting in the social room of Union Valley United Methodist Church. Donna Bennett will be hostess and program leader. Word for roll call is “heart.”

Cornerstone Ministry Center, 381 Willis Road, Jefferson, will hold a teen and elementary happening from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Students in second through 12th grades are invited to attend. There is a cost of $5 per person that includes lunch. Guest speakers, puppets, music, dodgeball, carpetball and other games will be played. Parents are encouraged to attend the awards presentation at 3:30 p.m. For more information or registration, call 724-966-9157.
