False reports: Kimberly Redd, 38, of 747 Amity Ridge Road, Amwell, will be charged by state police with false reports for reportedly lying to police about being assaulted by her boyfriend, Tommy West. West, 38, who was charged with simple assault, reckless endangerment and harassment, had a preliminary hearing before District Judge Ethan Ward on Jan. 21. During the hearing, Redd said she lied about being assaulted. The charges against West were dismissed. The charge against Redd will be sent by summons from Ward’s office.

Pedestrian injured: Emily Yates, 20, of Hanover, was injured when she was struck by a vehicle while in a crosswalk at the intersection of Third and Wood streets Monday afternoon, California police said. Nicole Bachner, 19, of South Park, was identified as the driver. Yates was taken to Monongahela Valley Hospital for treatment.

Charged twice: Justin Newbauer, 22, of Georgetown, was charged with public drunkenness twice in 30 minutes early Saturday, California police said. Police said he was found about 12:30 a.m. intoxicated at Third and Union streets. Police took him to his apartment and told him to stay home. Thirty minutes later, police were called to 510 Wood St. for a report of a college student on the porch. Police said they found Newbauer, who apparently fell and cut his head after leaving his apartment. He was taken to Monongahela Valley Hospital for treatment.

Charged in burglary: Nicholas Snyder, 22 of Lawrence, and Albert Petrosky, 21, of New Salem, were charged Monday with burglary, receiving stolen property and criminal conspiracy for allegedly entering a home on Shutterly Avenue, California police said. The two allegedly removed an Xbox game system and accessories and sold the items at the Game Stop in Belle Vernon. The two were caught in the 500 block of Third Street, police said. They were arraigned before District Judge Joshua Kanalis. Petrosky was placed in the Washington County jail on $1,000 bond, and Snyder is in jail on $2,500 bond.

Girl missing: Jocelyn Scott, 14, of 132 E. Pike St. was reported missing Tuesday to Canonsburg police. She is white, with blonde hair and blue eyes, 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighs 143 pounds. She was last seen wearing blue jeans, tennis shoes and a long-sleeved, dark blue shirt. Police said she has a history of running away.

Card stolen: Dorothy Perkins of 326 Valley View Terrace told Canonsburg police Tuesday that a prepaid bank card was stolen from her home.

Dryers damaged: Six dryers were damaged in an apparent attempt to steal coins Wednesday at Snowy White Laundry, 154 W. Pike St., Canonsburg police said.

Woman assaulted: Vladimir Biziaev, 42, of 160 Taylor Run Road, Carroll Township, is charged by township police with aggravated assault, terroristic threats, unlawful restraint, simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct, court records show. Police accuse him of choking, restraining and threatening to kill his wife, Sveta Biziaev, 42, and her children about 2 a.m. Tuesday in their residence, the affidavit indicates. He is in the Washington County jail on $100,000 bond set Tuesday by District Judge Mark Wilson.

Assault arrest: Margaret Ann Redman, 53, of 582 Purdy Road, Hanover, was arrested Tuesday night by state police stemming from an assault at her home. Redman is accused of assaulting her brother at their home. After allegedly hitting him above eye, she reportedly grabbed a knife and chased him. Police said he ran into his bedroom and closed the door. She was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller on charges of simple assault and harassment. Redman was placed in the Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.

Charged with theft: Misty L. Helmick, 22, of Washington, was charged by North Franklin police with theft and access device fraud for for allegedly making more than $2,100 in unauthorized purchases after stealing her grandmother’s credit card earlier this month. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Woman injured: An Eighty Four woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident at 1:57 p.m. Tuesday on Venetia Road, township police said. Judy M. Latorre, 55, of Butternut Court, was traveling east on Venetia Road when she apparently suffered a medical problem while traveling around a curve at 736 Venetia Road, police said. Her sport utility vehicle traveled down a hill before striking a tree head-on. The vehicle became wedged between two trees, and Latorre was extricated by members of Peters Township Volunteer Fire Department. She was alone in the vehicle, police said. Latorre was flown to UPMC-Presbyterian hospital, Pittsburgh, from a landing site at Venetia Park, police said.

Burglary report: City police said $100 was stolen in a break-in discovered about 6:40 a.m. Wednesday at a National Insurance office at 981 Jefferson Ave. A rear door was kicked in to enter the business, police said.

Theft report: Judith Wheeler of 112 Jollick Manor told city police about 8:40 a.m. Tuesday a wallet containing $200 had been stolen from her purse at her residence.

Jewelry stolen: Melissa Leisure of Walnut Valley Road, West Finley, told state police Friday that costume jewelry was stolen in a burglary of her home.
