A Coal Center woman being sought as a fugitive for the last six weeks was caught Thursday morning in Pittsburgh’s Hazelwood section by U.S. marshals.

Loretta Huntington, 41, of 135 Spring St., had a warrant for her arrest on charges of possession and possession with intent to deliver.

In October, police were called to her home for a report of a man on a roof with a gun. Police arrived and determined it was a pellet gun. During an interview with residents, police could smell a strong odor of marijuana.

Ronald Lee Cammack, 34, of Pittsburgh, handed police a small bag of marijuana. When asked if there were any more drugs, Cammack then handed officers a larger bag of marijuana.

Huntington, whose name was on the lease, refused to allow a dog to search the house but allowed police to look. Police reportedly found several Opana tablets inside a shoe. Cammack told police it was his shoe and drugs.

Police found a lock box. When police tried to seize the box, Huntington reportedly tried to stop them. She told police the box contained personal documents.

Police took the box to the station and obtained a warrant to search it. Inside the box, police found about 500 packets of heroin, $2,980, a digital scale and three electronic cigarettes.

Cammack waived his case to court on drug charges during a hearing before District Judge Joshua Kanalis.

Huntington was arraigned before District Judge Larry Hopkins, who also arraigned her on a bad checks charge filed against her in a private criminal complaint. She was placed in the Washington County jail on $100,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is set for Feb. 25 on both sets of charges before Kanalis.
