WILKINSBURG (AP) – Police say a 14-year-old Western Pennsylvania boy will be charged criminally after he was caught on video repeatedly punching and kicking another boy in a middle-school bathroom.

Wilkinsburg police Chief Ophelia Coleman says the teen will be charged with felony assault and two misdemeanors. She says the victim was “beaten mercilessly.” Coleman says other students could be charged, too.

The attack happened during a class change toward the end of the school day Thursday. Another student caught it on video and posted it online.

The parents of the injured student, Aisa Whitfield, took him to the hospital Friday to be checked. Aisa told WTAE-TV he’s “just getting tired of getting bullied, and I don’t want other kids to think it’s OK to bully on other kids like me.”
