Greene County Bar has new member

WAYNESBURG – The Greene County Bar Association has a new member.

Rachel A. Wheeler, a 2011 graduate of Duquesne Law School, was sworn in Friday by Judge William Nalitz as a member of the bar. She has taken a position with the Waynesburg law firm of Pollock and Morris.

Wheeler, 26, who makes her home in Canonsburg, graduated from Edinboro University in 2008 with a bachelor of science degree in forensic accounting.

She has represented clients at the Allegheny Counhty Office of Conflict Counsel and has represented clients in criminal and civil cases, contracts, oil and gas, juvenile and family law and estates.

Through internships at the U.S. District Attorney’s Office and the Erie County District Attorney’s Office, Wheeler has had the opportunity to practice criminal law in both the federal and state courts.

She also has served as a law clerk of Judges Philippe Melograne and John DiSalle in the Court of Common Pleas of Washington County.

In her free time, she is a practiced violinist and a member of the Pittsburgh Civic Orchestra.
