A Washington man was sentenced Friday in federal court in Pittsburgh to spend 15 years in prison for violating federal firearms laws.

U.S. Judge Arthur J. Schwab imposed the sentence on Justin Michael King, 34, of 595 Fayette St., who was indicted along with two others in 2011 for having seven rifles, six handguns and a shot gun all of which were stolen, court records show.

The weapons were stolen in burglaries in September and October 2008.

King has prior convictions.

The case was operated under the Project Safe Neighborhoods program that brings federal, state and local law agencies together to prevent gun crimes.
