Game system, games stolen: Roy Campbell of 1116 E. National Pike, Amwell, told state police Sunday that his Xbox game player and three games were stolen.
Warrant obtained: Southwest Regional police have obtained an arrest warrant for Keith L. Grimes, 22, of 467 Spring St., Bentleyville, on charges of burglary, theft and harassment. Police said the charges stem from an incident with a 17-year-old girl on Jan. 23 at 202 Washington St. The charges were filed at the office of District Judge Curtis Thompson.
Harassment charges: Matthew W. Longood, 58, and Gregory Rhodes Sr., 46, both of Washington, will be charged by state police with harassment stemming from a physical altercation over a debt owed Sunday at 401 Buena Vista St., Canton.
Two-vehicle crash: A family of four was taken to a local hospital as a precaution following a two-vehicle crash about 11 a.m. Monday on Route 40, Donegal police said. Police said Matthew Rieger, 27, of Marysville, Wash., was driving east when he made a left turn into the path of a westbound vehicle driven by Michelle McNally, 40, of West Alexander. Rieger was attempting to turn into an Exxon station. McNally and her three children, ages 7 and younger, were taken to a local hospital. Rieger refused treatment. Assisting at the scene were West Alexander and Claysville firefighters.
Charged in assault: Scott Anthony Bishop, 40, of 1257 Laurel Hill Road, McDonald, was arrested Friday night by McDonald police on charges of simple assault, terroristic threats and two counts of harassment. He is accused of hitting Christie Keith in the head with a plastic window blind during a confrontation when she reportedly tried to remove her items from the home. Bishop was arraigned before District Judge Thomas Caufield and released from the Allegheny County jail after posting $5,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is set before District Judge Anthony Saveikis.
One injured: Nicholas Knotts, 13, of 6 Conklin Road, North Strabane, was injured when a vehicle driven by Cynthia Knotts, 43, also of 6 Conklin, pulled from a business driveway on Racetrack Road into the path of a van driven by John Belleno, 60, of 120 Wylie Ave., Houston, North Strabane police said.
Assault arrest: A Venetia man, Joseph V. Labellarte, was placed in the Washington County jail on $10,000 bond following a domestic dispute in his Singletree Drive residence, township police said. Labellarte, 42, was charged with simple assault following the incident at 3:40 p.m. Friday and was arraigned before District Judge Mark Wilson, police said. Police allege Labellarte had attempted to choke his wife, Kathy. She had red marks on her neck, chest and behind her ear, but refused medical attention, police said. An emergency protection-from-abuse order was obtained for Kathy Labellarte and the couple’s children, police said.
Couple receive citations: A Venetia couple, Daryl L. Miller, 51, and Lisa Ann Miller, 43, were cited for harassment following a domestic dispute in their residence on Scenic Ridge Drive at 7:22 p.m. Sunday, township police said. Police were responding to a report of a hang-up call to 911 when informed of previous domestic calls at the house. Daryl Miller told police his wife punched him and kneed him in his groin. Lisa Ann Miller said he was drinking and slapped a cup from her hand, police said. She also had scratches. Citations for harassment against each were filed Monday in the office of District Judge James Ellis.
Man arrested: Paul Pierre Williams Jr., 28, of Columbus, Ohio, was arrested Friday by South Strabane police after allegedly cheating a cashier at Walmart, Trinity Point, out of $9 during a quick-change transaction. Police said he initially selected two items for about $2 and tried paying with a $50 bill. He then attempted other transactions. A check of the register indicated it was short $9. Williams was arraigned before District Judge Mark Wilson on a charge of theft by deception and placed in the Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.
Charged in crash: Andrew M. Dallessandro, 46, of 119 Fairview St., Elrama, will be charged by Southwest Regional police with driving under the influence of alcohol stemming from a one-vehicle crash Dec. 8 on Finleyville-Elrama Road, Union. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge James Ellis.
Three charged: Madison Staranko, 24, of 133 Arlington Ave., Charleroi; Jessica Ceseta-Jones, 31, of 7103 Gail Drive, Union; and Jonathan Minniti, 27, of Monessen, were charged earlier this month by Southwest Regional police with identity theft, access device fraud, conspiracy and theft. Paul Nelson of 7103 Gail told police that two checks were stolen from his checkbook, and one was cashed for $350. Police said they determined the three woman cashed the check. Charges were filed at the office of District Judge James Ellis.
Pills stolen: Casey Ivery of Washington told Washington police Sunday her prescription medication was picked up without her permission from CVS at 175 W. Beau St. Charges are pending.
House reportedly entered: A neighbor told Washington police that vagrants are entering an empty home at 623 Beech St. without permission.
Boy charged after BB incident: A 12-year-old Washington boy will be charged by Washington police with harassment after he allegedly shot his young friend in the nose with a BB gun while the two were playing in the other boy’s bedroom Saturday at Jollick Manor, Washington police said. The injured boy’s father called police.
Door damaged: Crystal Morgan of 397 W. Chestnut St. told Washington police that James Retchless, 23, of 397 W. Chestnut, damaged her door after he allegedly forced his way back into the home after a dispute. He also is accused of threatening Morgan and Georgiana Farkas of 395 W. Chestnut. Charges are pending.
Assault charge pending: Cody Helmick, 23, of 1240 Bruce St., faces a charge of simple assault after allegedly grabbing Morgan Watson, 20, also of 1240 Bruce, by the face and hitting her during a confrontation at their home Saturday, Washington police said.
Man robbed: Gabriel Padilla of Canton Township told Washington police Saturday that a Hispanic man in his 40s tried to rob him as he walked in the 10 block of Hayes Avenue. The robber allegedly brandished a knife and demanded money. Police said Padilla was not able to provide a better description.
Men charged: Charles Rippy Jr., 57, of McKees Rocks, and Jerry L. Ray, 47, of Pittsburgh, will be charged with disorderly conduct stemming from a traffic stop Saturday in the 800 block of Maple Avenue, Washington police said. Rippy reportedly yelled at police as they questioned the driver, who had a suspended license. Ray urinated when he got out of the vehicle, police said.
Gift card stolen: Patricia Dudley of 220 N. Main St. told Washington police Friday that a $25 JC Penney gift card was stolen from a card that had been delivered in the mail.
Drug charges: Matthew Clark, 22, of 1012 Lynn Portal Road, Canton Township, will be charged by Washington police with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia stemming from a traffic stop during a roving DUI patrol Friday. Police stopped the vehicle, driven by Thaddeus Jackson, 20, of 882 Amity Ridge Road, Amwell Township, because he reportedly did not have headlights turned on. Jackson will be cited for the equipment violation.
Copper stolen: Washington police said Job Fab, 295 Meadow Ave., was burglarized Friday. Copper grounding wire was cut and stolen from three machines.
Faces charges: Jesse Lewandowski, 29, of 902 Chartiers St., Washington, faces charges including burglary and theft for allegedly entering a closed vehicle lot at 860 Chartiers and stealing 10 vehicle transmissions. The transmissions were sold at a scrap yard and traced back to Lewandowski, police said. He was placed in Washington County Jail for an alleged probation violation.
Man charged: Malachi Simmons, 40, of 105 Church St., Washington, was charged with retail theft after he allegedly stole steak and lobster from Shop ‘n Save, 125 W. Beau St., on Friday, Washington police said. The food was recovered.
