Faces drug charges: Darnell Edward Simpson, 27, of 117 S. Pine St., Ellsworth, was arraigned Wednesday on charges of possession of crack and marijuana and possession with intent to deliver crack. He was charged by the Washington County District Attorney’s Drug Task Force after they found six bags of crack and one bag of marijuana while serving a felony arrest warrant on him Feb. 8. He also had a cellphone and more than $1,500. He was arraigned before District Judge Curtis Thompson and placed in the Washington County jail on a $25,000 percentage bond.
Woman threatened: Jeffrey C. Aldridge, 40, of 297 E. Buffalo Church Road, is charged by state police with making terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment, accused of striking his girlfriend, Suzanne C. Howard, in the head with a dinner plate and threatening to kill her about 7 p.m. Tuesday at his residence, court records show. He is in the Washington County jail on $10,000 bond set by District Judge Mark Wilson.
Drug arrest: Matthew Perry, 25, of 305 Market St., Belle Vernon, is charged by Charleroi Regional police with possession of 100 stamp bags of heroin with intent to deliver, drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia, court records show. Police accused him of hiding the drugs as a passenger in a car stopped about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of First St. Perry is in the Washington County jail on $25,000 bond set by District Judge Mark Wilson. The driver, Joshua K. Lester, 25, of Arona, is free on recognizance bond after being charged with displaying a false registration sticker on his car, the record shows.
Truck rolls: Frank Angelilli, 50, of Brownsville, faces a traffic violation after his tanker carrying home heating oil and kerosene went off Clark Avenue near Cross Creek Road, Cross Creek, Tuesday afternoon and rolled over. State police said some of the oil spilled into a nearby creek. Assisting at the scene were Avella firefighters, Washington County Hazardous Material Team and Ambulance and Chair Service. The state Department of Environmental Protection also was notified.
Fence damaged: T. Rachael Weber of 1031 Old Ridge Road, Cross Creek, told state police Monday five fence posts and a wire fence were damaged on her property.
Woman assaulted: Walter Chisolm, 32, of 43 North Ave., East Washington, is charged by borough police with simple assault and harassment over accusations he struck his girlfriend, Angelia Waszkiewicz, in the face about 3:10 p.m. Monday, court records show. He is in the Washington County jail on $10,000 bond set Tuesday by District Judge Mark Wilson.
Debit card stolen: Lindley A. Walker Sr. of Fredericktown told state police last week his debit card was stolen and used to withdraw $300 at 688 Taylorstown Road, Franklin.
Woman arrested: Velma L. Rush, 57, of 3 Circle Drive, Elrama, is charged by state police with simple assault and harassment, accused of hitting her husband, Joseph H. Rush, in the head with a small ceramic snowman statue about 11 p.m. Dec. 10 in their home, court records show. She is free on $10,000 bond after being arrested on a warrant Tuesday and arraigned before District Judge Mark Wilson.
Escapes injury: Colt Clabaugh, 24, of Indiana, escaped injury Tuesday night when his pickup truck went off Majorsville Road, West Finley, and hit a tree. State police will cite him with failure to drive at a safe speed.
