• Action: The board approved a contract with the Pennsylvania School Boards Association to organize the district’s policy manual for $5,500, and for a policy maintenance program for an annual cost of $999.
The board approved the 2013-14 Intermediate Unit 1 general operational budget for $549,522. The district’s share is $73,032, which reflects no increase from the current budget.
A donation of $1,000 from the Boys Lacrosse Club to be applied toward the purchase of new equipment for the high school weight room was approved, as was a donation of $9,725 from the Peters Township Education Foundation to be distributed to staff members at the high school, middle school and Bower Hill Elementary in the form of grants.
The board also authorized the district to advertise for replacement school buses.
