Warrant obtained: Luke M. Trimmer, 35, of Washington, is wanted on a warrant obtained by state police from District Judge Ethan Ward on charges of simple assault and harassment. He is accused of assaulting Melany Casson, 31, of Washington, late Friday at 1911 W. Chestnut St., Canton, and then fleeing the scene.
One injured: Jessica Morris of Marianna was injured Friday morning in a four-vehicle crash on Interstate 79 near the Allegheny County line, Cecil. State police said a vehicle driven by Connor Tarwater of McMurray was going north when he hit a vehicle driven by James McDaniel of Washington. Tarwater’s vehicle then went through the median, crossing into the southbound lane where it hit Morris’ vehicle, pushing it into a vehicle driven by Kathleen Robbins of Venetia. Morris was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment. None of the other drivers was injured. Police are continuing their investigation. The highway was closed intermittently in both directions for about 30 minutes until the wreckage could be cleared.
Firearm violation: Robert L. Stubbs, 27, of 430 Liberty Ave., Donora, was arrested early Saturday by Charleroi Regional police on a charge of carrying a firearm without a license. Stubbs was spotted about 2 a.m. walking on Washington Avenue. When police asked if he had identification, he gave a name and two different birth dates. When he tried to leave, police stopped him. Police learned he was wanted on a bench warrant. Police also found him with a gun registered to a Donora man, who said the gun was missing but he had not reported it stolen. Stubbs was arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward and placed in the Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.
Two arrested in domestics: Jeff Barone, of 429 McKean Ave., Charleroi, and Mark Allan Ratica Jr., 824 Oakland Ave., Charleroi, were arrested 30 minutes apart early Saturday by Charleroi Regional police stemming from separate domestic disturbances. Barone is accused of grabbing Lyndsey Zelinski by the throat and hitting her above the eye during a confrontation at his home about 3:43 a.m. Ratica is accused of hitting Amanda Toia and throwing items at her. He left but was stopped by police. Both men were arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward on charges of simple assault and harassment. Ratica is also charged with driving a vehicle without insurance. Both men were placed in the Washington County jail on a $25,000 percentage bond.
Drug arrest: Ramone Lee Cammack, 34, of Pittsburgh, was arrested late Friday by the Washington County District Attorney’s Drug Task Force for allegedly selling heroin to a confidential informant in Stockdale earlier this month. Cammack was arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward on charges of possession and possession with intent to deliver heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was placed in the Washington County jail on $100,000 bond.
