FALLS (AP) – Authorities say a worker at a sugar processing plant in suburban Philadelphia died after falling into a large vat.

Police in Bucks County said they were called to the CSC Sugar Plant in Falls Township Monday afternoon after a worker was reported missing.

Lt. Henry Ward of the township police department said searchers later found the worker dead in the vat.

He said the victim’s name and other information is not being released pending notification of his relatives.

Officials told WCAU-TV that the victim may have been trapped inside for an hour.
