Paraphernalia charge: Thomas Kencec, 20, of 152 E. Pike St., Canonsburg, will be charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after he was found with marijuana pipes during a traffic stop early Monday at East Pike Street and North Central Avenue, Canonsburg police said. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Charged after traffic stop: Julian P. Thompson, 19, of Erie, and Stephen S. Yarbrough, 20, of 527 Chartiers Ave., Canonsburg, will be charged with possession of drug paraphernalia stemming from a traffic stop Saturday on South Central Avenue, Canonsburg police said. Thompson had pipes while Yarbrough had pipes and a digital scale, police said. Charges will be sent from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Theft charge: Christina Gregorczyk, 36, of 308 Grace Ave., Canonsburg, will be charged with theft by Canonsburg police after allegedly stealing her mother’s debit card and using it at a gasoline station. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Faces assault charge: Anthony Miranda, 24, of Pittsburgh, will be charged with public drunkenness, harassment, possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia following a disturbance Friday at West Pike Bowl, 605 W. Pike St., Canonsburg police said. He was taken to Washington Hospital for an evaluation. Police found suspected hydrocodone in his coat pocket. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Faces DUI charge: Amber Fedorchak, 24, of 212 McShane St., Canonsburg, was charged Thursday by Canonsburg police in connection with a Dec. 16 hit-and-run crash. She is accused of hitting two parked cars near 105 Richland Ave. with her pickup truck and fleeing the scene on foot. Police said her blood-alcohol content was almost double the 0.08 percent limit presumed for intoxication. Charges against Fedorchak, who also was charged with leaving the scene, will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Pair face drug charges: Michael Wayne Tunnell Jr., 45, of Gulf Shores, Ala., and Martha May, 42, of 250 Moore St., Washington, face charges of possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia stemming from an Aug. 31 traffic stop on Jefferson Avenue near Airport Road, Canton. State police said during the stop, items including methamphetamine and paraphernalia were found outside the vehicle. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Theft, forgery charges: Wendy Lynn Pence, 33, of 31 South Alley, Taylorstown, was arraigned Monday before District Judge Joshua Kanalis on charges of theft, forgery and bad checks filed by Centerville police. Pence had been evicted from rental property. Eric Michalsky had allowed her to use his truck to move items. She is accused of taking a check from his personal checkbook and writing it to her landlord for rent due. She was released from the Washington County jail after posting a $1,000 percentage bond.
Woman charged: Stephanie Thurston was charged with possession of suspected heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia at 6 p.m. Saturday, according to an affidavit filed in the office of District Judge James Ellis. Thurston, 55, of 705 Seventh St., Charleroi, was found with suspected heroin and a syringe in her residence, police said. She was arraigned before Ellis at 8 p.m. Saturday and was placed in the Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
Arrested on warrant: Zachary Puklus, 25, of 265 Parkwood Circle, Canonsburg, was arrested Friday on a warrant on charges of theft and receiving stolen property filed by Chartiers police. He is accused of stealing jewelry, including 31 pairs of gold earrings and four gold rings, along with a set of silver flatware from Saralynn Dague, 24 Moninger Ave., Oct. 19. He then sold the items at several jewelry and pawn shops in the area. Dague estimated the items were valued at $3,930. Puklus was arraigned before District Judge David Mark and placed in the Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.
Teen charged: A 16-year-old Prosperity boy was charged with harassment by North Franklin police after he allegedly asked a 15-year-old Canton Township boy if he wanted to fight and then showed him a knife while the two were at Washington Crown Center Friday.
Charged in theft: Lucille J. Warych, 55, of McKees Rocks, was charged Thursday with theft by state police at The Meadows Racetrack & Casino. She is accused of picking up a lost wallet from the casino floor Nov. 17 and allegedly stealing $100 and some gift cards. She then left the wallet for a casino employee to find. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Machine damaged: Shaun Cunningham, 30, of 104 Linn Ave., Washington, was charged by state police at The Meadows Racetrack & Casino with criminal mischief after he allegedly broke the screen on a slot machine. Police said he had been playing the machine and became angry. He then punched the screen, police said. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Trespass charge: Mehamad S. Shuman, 39, of Monroeville, was charged Thursday by state police at The Meadows Racetrack & Casino with criminal trespass. Shuman, who had placed himself on the self-exclusion list, was at the casino Dec. 30. He also reportedly lied to police about his identity.
Man Arrested: David Rice was placed in the Washington County jail on $50,000 bond after being arraigned before District Judge James Ellis late Saturday on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession with the intent to deliver, corruption of minors and reckless endangerment. Rice, 21, of 377 Pear Ave., Belle Vernon, is charged with delivering six hits of LSD to two 14-year-old boys in the rear yard behind 41 Terrace Drive, Fallowfield Township, at 7 p.m. Dec. 12, police said. The boys ingested three of the hits and required hospitalization.
Father charged: A father and son dispute resulted in the father, Lester Habbestad, being charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment, according to an affidavit filed in the office of District Judge James Ellis. Habbestad, 57, of 307 Dickson St., Midway, was involved in an altercation with his son, Christian, at 12:52 p.m. Saturday, McDonald police said. Habbestad was arraigned before Ellis and was released on his own recognizance.
Handgun found: A handgun in a holster was found on a waste can in the ladies’ restroom at the McDonald’s restaurant on Washington Road, McMurray, at 1:57 p.m. Saturday, township police said. Police were able to locate the owner who is from out of the state.
Assault charges: Matthew L. Richards, 26, of 65 Lee Ave, Washington, was charged Monday by South Strabane police with simple assault, harassment and criminal trespass for allegedly entering the home of his estranged wife, Nicole Richards. She told police when she came home, she found her dog running loose outside and her estranged husband hiding. Her friend, Aaron Bachman, was bleeding from his head and face when police arrived after he was allegedly assaulted by Richards. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Retail theft arrest: Kevin L. Jones, 37, of Cincinnati, Ohio, was arrested Saturday by South Strabane police on a charge of retail theft after he allegedly stole $615 in items from Walmart, Trinity Point. He was arraigned before District Judge James Ellis and placed in the Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.
Woman charged: Jamie M. Weaver, 27, of Pittsburgh, will be charged by South Strabane police with retail theft, possession of heroin and suboxone and possession of drug paraphernalia after she allegedly stole items valued at $297 Jan. 1 from Lowe’s, Strabane Square.
Vehicle damaged: Toni Rader of Bentleyville told South Strabane police Friday her vehicle was damaged while it was parked at Tanger Outlets.
Corruption charge: Michael Wayne McCartney, 22, of 541 E. National Pike, South Strabane, was charged Thursday by township police with corruption of minors after he allegedly gave a North Franklin Township 15-year-old boy marijuana and then crushed narcotic pills that were then inhaled by the two last month. Police said the boy left his home without his parents’ knowledge. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Criminal mischief: Cindy Osborne of 1102 Maple Terrace, Washington, reported to police that a juvenile threw a snowball at her front door causing damage about 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
Man cited: Ken Boniecke, 57, of 305 Third St., Washington, was cited Sunday for dumping garbage on the property of David Price of 590 Donnan Ave., Washington.
Theft reported: Matthew Miklic of 276 Terrace Ave., Washington, reported to police that six prescription pills were stolen from the console of his vehicle while it was parked outside his home 6 p.m. Saturday to 5:15 a.m. Sunday.
Trespass citation: James Rock, 56, address unknown, was cited for defiant trespass Sunday after he was found at Washington Hospital about 8:45 p.m.
Attempted robbery: Brandon C. Barnicky, 28, of 146 Firestone Road, Smithfield, reported to police that two black males assaulted him and attempted to steal his wallet on Hall Avenue Saturday. Barnicky was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment of injuries to the head, police stated.
Disorderly conduct: Lisa Pirt, 21, of 570 Allison Ave., Washington, was cited after she turned off power to her apartment building at 11:30 p.m. Friday.
Woman charged: Lauren Nort, 27, of 506 Azalea Drive, Whitehall, William Douglas, 53, of 4730 Sherwood Drive, Pittsburgh, and Julie Acor, 39, of 158 Adlin Ave., Houston, were charged by city police following a fight during a soccer game at the Vernon Neal Complex in Washington Saturday afternoon. Police were called to the complex for a fight that had ended by the time they arrived. However, police were directed to Nort, Douglas and Acor. According to police, Nort and Acor engaged in a heated argument when Douglas grabbed Acor by the throat and pushed her face against the glass at the field. Douglas is Nort’s father. Police said all three were charged with disorderly conduct. Douglas also was charged with harassment. Summons will be sent by mail by District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Endangering children: Jessica Mosciarelli, 28, of 420 Second St., Vestaburg, was charged with endangering the welfare of children after she failed to pick up her children, ages 2 and 4, at the home of Heather Gore of East Hallam Ave., Saturday. Police said Mosciarelli had left the children at Gore’s home early in the morning and failed to pick them up by 7 p.m. The children were taken into custody by Children and Youth Services.
