Fire in McKeesport home kills man, 87

McKEESPORT (AP) – Authorities in Western Pennsylvania say an early morning fire has claimed the life of an elderly man.

The Allegheny County fire marshal’s office says the blaze in McKeesport was reported shortly after 5:30 a.m. Saturday.

Officials said the body of an 87-year-old man was found in the basement of the home.

The victim’s name was not immediately released. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
