STEUBENVILLE, Ohio (AP) – An eastern Ohio grand jury is taking another break in its investigation into whether more laws were broken in the rape of a 16-year-old girl.

Ohio Attorney General’s office spokesman Dan Tierney said Wednesday the panel has suspended work until Aug. 12 after meeting the first two days of this week.

One of the key issues before the panel meeting in Steubenville is whether adults who are required to report crimes knew early on of the rape last August but didn’t say anything.

A judge in March convicted two high school football players of raping the West Virginia girl after an alcohol-fueled party last summer.

Attorney General Mike DeWine has said nothing is off the table for the grand jury.
